After our experiences at The Garden we decided to go back to Blackwing and take Drostan with us, again in the role of producer, using Blackwing’s in house engineer Ken Gardener, who we knew from years back when we used to rehearse there. As we wanted to include I Never Know Where You Are and had recorded four songs at The Garden we decided to try and finish the album by recording the five remaining songs; Over And Over, Wave After Wave, All That Matters Now and Help Me Get Over It, all in one session.
We were rehearsing at a couple of different studios at the time, both of which had a very different sound. One had a high ceiling and stone floors, which meant the drums sounded really big and boomy and immediately inspired us to write You Can Call It Yours, whereas the other studio was more like someone's living room, quite small with carpet and curtains and soft furnishings which complemented a more laid back, gentle sound and inspired songs like Wave After Wave and Over And Over, so the album naturally had a good balance of songs without us really having to think
about it just because of where we rehearsed.
